As part of a nationwide initiative, Destiny USA was proud to host Literacy Coalition’s Summer Learning Day as part of our recurring Tykes Tuesday program. Summer Learning Day is an event that emphasizes the importance of keeping kids educated, safe, and healthy in summer.

Over 3,000 parents and children came to participate in fun activities at tables from over 40 organizations. The family fun activities consisted of face painting, arts and crafts, and more. Daniel Tiger, from PBS, even made a special appearance. WCNY, Central New York’s public media, provided the first 500 children with a special Daniel Tiger coloring book and souvenir bag.
