DESTINY USA TEAMS UP WITH TOMRA FOR BOTTLE AND CAN DRIVE BENEFITTING HONOR FLIGHT SYRACUSE
— Thanks to the generosity of TOMRA, each bottle or can donated will count as 6 cents for CNY veterans—

Syracuse, NY (April 22, 2025) – Destiny USA is teaming up with TOMRA, one of the world’s most accomplished bottle and can recyclers, for a special fundraiser beginning Saturday, April 26th, benefiting Honor Flight Syracuse and the veterans it supports throughout Central New York.
Dubbed “Yes we CAN for Veterans,” the fundraiser aims to collect bottles and cans to support Honor Flight Syracuse and its mission to fly as many Central New York veterans as possible at no cost to Washington, D.C., to experience the war memorials built in their honor.
Aiding in the effort is Destiny USA, which will host the big bottle and can drop-off weekend, Saturday, April 26th, and Sunday, April 27th in the parking lot at the corner of Solar Street and Hiawatha Boulevard from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM both days. Thanks to the generosity of Bottle & Can Retrieval Centers, every bottle or can collected will result in up to 6 cents for Honor Flight Syracuse and veterans throughout Central New York.
“Honor Flight Syracuse depends entirely on donations, and this bottle and can drive at Destiny USA plays a vital role in supporting our mission each year,” said Dan Cummings of Honor Flight Syracuse. “Every spring and fall, we fly 82 veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor—at no cost to them. Thanks to TOMRA, each bottle or can donated equals six cents directly to our local veterans, and it truly adds up. Best of all, you don’t even need to get out of your car to donate. We’re incredibly grateful for our seven-year partnership with Destiny USA in making this event possible.”
Online donations to Honor Flight Syracuse can also be made at honorflightsyracuse.org.
