In honor of Make-A-Wish Central New York’s inaugural Wish Heroes campaign, wish mom Katie Green is spearheading “Alayah’s Rideathon,” a carousel fundraiser at Destiny USA to support wishes for local, critically ill children. All proceeds from carousel rides April 23 to April 25 will be donated to Make-A-Wish Central New York. (Each ride is $2 per person.)
Katie’s daughter, Alayah, is a leukemia survivor who received her wish to be a princess at Walt Disney World Resort in 2017. Katie was so inspired by the wish process that she became a wish ambassador and wish-granting volunteer. Now, she and her family are paying it forward to ensure other critically ill children get to experience the transformative joy a wish can bring!
